Originally from Cappoquin, Co Waterford, Hannah Kiely has lived in and travelled to many places all over the world. She now lives in Clarinbridge, Co Galway with her family.

Hannah has been actively involved in many aspects of Galway life for a number of years, in particular business and cultural organisations and with many charities.

Hannah holds degrees from University of Galway, Atlantic Technological University and a Masters in Writing from University of Galway.

Hannah's debut collection The Ruby Dance is due to be published by Revival Press, Limerick on 18th June 2026

Hannah's poetry has appeared in many publications. She was shortlisted in HOWEL and Skylight 48 Open Submissions. She has been published in Pandemic.ie, Spilling Cocoa Over Martin Amis, Smahingtimes.ie, Waterford News and Start Festival 2022, Galway Music Residency and RTE Sunday \Miscellany.  

Her poetry has also been published in Romance Options, Love Poems for Today, Vox Galvia - new Galway Writing. Washing Windows IV and V, and in Skylight 47 edition 19 as part of a masterclass.
